Beginning from Android 14 by default the installation of APK file is disabled. The only enabled source by default on an Android device is Google Play Store. If you want to install an application with its APK file you should enable this feature in the Settings.
Open the Settings app and find the Apps category. If the Settings app isn't on the Home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and find it in the apps list. | ![]() |
Scroll down in the Apps category and find the Special app access group. | ![]() |
In the Special app access group scroll down and find the Install unknown apps group. | ![]() |
In the Install unknown apps group select Chrome. | ![]() |
Put the slider into On position to enable this feature. | ![]() |
If you navigate back to the Install unknown apps screen, you will see that the feature for Chrome is Allowed. | ![]() |
You can close the Settings app (Home button - circle in the middle) and open the File manager app. | ![]() |
Click the hamburger menu on the top left. | ![]() |
From the Files select the device name which navigates you the root folder of the device. | ![]() |
Select the folder where you downloaded the APK file, it's usually the Download folder. | ![]() |
Click on the APK file: com.savant... | ![]() |
In the notification window click on the Continue option and your app will be installed. | ![]() |
