Sometimes the user accidentally prints to a printer that Bartender is not using. If you have a small number of printer licenses, you may have trouble using the right printer because the unwanted printer will take up unnecessary license space.
Here are the steps how you can disable printing on unwanted printers.
- In Bartender Administration Console select Licensing > Printer Usage. Click on Permissions tab. You will see a printer group called Blocked
- Click on the Add a member printer under the Blocked printer group. A popup window comes up. Enter all details precisely. If you don’t know the details, you can find them in the Bartender Designer Print window. If the location is empty, it means the local computer should be, enter the computer name.
- This printer will be listed in the Blocked group.
- If the user wants to print to this computer he/she will get an error message.
